Socktober
Socks can be more important than food
Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help. -Isaiah 58:7
True: Most people walk an average of four miles a day, but a homeless person walks an average of ten miles.
True: Socks are among the most valuable piece of clothing to people without permanent housing.
True: A homeless person asking for new clothes at a shelter will normally get
everything except new socks.

What can we do?
Socktober at Christ Lutheran Church
October 1 – 25, 2020
How can you and your family and friends participate?
Place one or more pairs of new and packaged socks in the outdoor collection container at Christ Lutheran Church, 600 N. Ford Road, Zionsville.
The sock container will be out as many days as possible, weather permitting,
throughout the month of October.
Pastor Wes Smith will include a blessing of the socks during the worship service on October 25, 2020.
All donations must be new and in-package.
Several church members will take the socks (a few carloads, we hope!) to a homeless shelter in Indianapolis at the conclusion of Socktober.
