Coronavirus Update 3-18-20
Christ Lutheran Church Family,
The Governance Board met Monday night and made a difficult decision, but one made in full confidence that it is the best alternative going forward. Upon consideration of statements from the Bishop, Governor, the CDC, and federal government, the Governance Board calls for the continued suspension of CLC activities through at least April 5th, at which time the Governance Board will issue another statement.
In line with other closures in our community, the staff of CLC is working primarily at home. However we are able to receive voicemails remotely. Do not hesitate to call in if you have any need or emergency. Please leave a message and one of our staff will get back to you as quickly as we are able.
Given that the CDC has once again lowered the threshold for public meetings from 50 to 10 people – we encourage our members to make use of online resources such as Zoom, FaceTime, or Google Hangouts, in order to stay connected.
At this time, the staff of CLC are working diligently to provide meaningful and uplifting services for our Facebook page, and our website. We will continue to have Sunday service on Facebook live beginning at 10:30.
Our staff is taking every cost-saving measure we can, but the financial needs of the church continue. We hope you will continue to give as you are able, either by check, or through Simply Giving. We are currently exploring other options for giving, too. Please stay tuned.
Please check in on Facebook and our website throughout the week for updates regarding services, and opportunities for online engagement.
Merciful God, our Father, in the stillness of our souls we listen for your voice to know again that you are God. Quiet our restless hearts with the knowledge that you stand within the shadows, keeping watch over your own. Rekindle our faith and light the lamp of hope within our hearts. Then deal with us as seems best to you, for where you lead we can confidently go with Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
